What are ADEK vitamins?

.

Vitamins ADEK is a group of fat-soluble vitamins that includes vitamins A, D, E and K. The human body does not produce these vitamins (with the exception of vitamin D from the sun). Therefore, a proper diet and sensible supplementation is necessary. ADEK vitamins include:

  • Vitamin A - not one, but several chemical compounds, the most important of which is retinol.
  • Vitamin D - vitamin D2 and D3, where it is the latter that is more effective, more stable and more popular.
  • Vitamin E - consists of eight chemical compounds, the most important being alpha-tocopherol.
  • Vitamin K - includes three organic chemical compounds: vitamin K1, K2 and K3.
