The cream uses highly concentrated glycolic acid (15%), which has the smallest molecule of any acid and, thanks to the use of nanotechnology, penetrates the deepest layers of the skin. It strongly smooths, stimulates collagen production and moisturises at the same time. The combination of the acid with other active ingredients (e.g. vitamins E, C and F, hyaluronic acid or ergothioneine) makes the cream suitable for people who are fighting the signs of ageing, as well as those who want to prevent them.

When to reach for the first wrinkle cream?

It is accepted that the skin's ageing process begins after around the age of 25. As you get older, you will experience symptoms such as:

  • wrinkles,
  • changes in skin texture,
  • loss of elasticity,
  • sharpness,
  • decreased hydration,

These are also accompanied by changes in skin cells, as well as structural and functional changes in important components such as collagens (their natural production slows down) or elastin. Exposure to UV rays, as well as certain lifestyle habits, such as smoking and drinking alcohol, can further exacerbate this condition.

Deteriorating skin condition can become more than just an aesthetic or cosmetic problem. It has a significant impact on wellbeing and comfort. It can have a wide range of clinical forms, from mild but annoying (e.g. itching) to dangerous cancerous lesions and melanomas.

Cancerous lesions and melanomas can have a significant impact on the wellbeing and comfort of life.

Therapy and cosmetics anti-aging are not enough. Take care of your skin from the inside too. It's crucial to supplement and provide ingredients that will support your fight against the effects of ageing.

Also take care of the health of your hair and nails:

How to choose the best cream for wrinkles? Advice from a cosmetologist

Don't be afraid of the name 'wrinkle cream'. It won't magically add years to you, you won't age faster. Anti-aging care is not just reserved for mature skin. The earlier you start taking care of it, the better.

It's worth putting yourself in the hands of a specialist - a cosmetologist or dermatologist - who will plan a treatment tailored to your skin's individual needs. Anti-ageing treatments that definitely merit in-office attention are micro-needle and needle mesotherapy, chemical peels (including TCA, glycolic acid, ferulic acid) or fractional micro-needle RF.

What ingredients to look for in anti-wrinkle creams and why?

Anti-ageing skin creams will not stop the ageing process, but they can slow it down and improve the appearance and condition of the skin.

When choosing an anti-ageing cream, you need to remember your skin's needs first, and then look for active ingredients on the label.

The most important of these are

    • Retinol - a derivative of vitamin A. Topically applied, it improves fine lines and wrinkles associated with the natural aging process, including by stimulating collagen productionand.
    • Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA) - help exfoliate the epidermis. Regular use of products with them in the formulation prepares the skin to absorb other preparations, as well as smoothing the texture and evening out skin tone. They also help to reduce wrinkles. Look especially for glycolic acidand.
    • Vitamin C - is considered one of the best ingredients for mature skin. It helps keep skin smooth, provides a brightening effect and has antioxidant properties, meaning it protects against free radicals that damage skin cells and collagen fibres to cause wrinklesand.
    • Peptides - are amino acids that build the proteins the skin needs. Providing them will increase collagen production, leading to improved skin firmness and a more youthful appearanceand
    • Coenzyme Q10 - one of its many benefits is to reduce oxidative damage caused by UV radiation, smoke or pollution. It also helps reduce the depth of some wrinklesand.
    • Niacinamide - a substance strongly related to vitamin B3, of which niacin is a derivative. It increases the production of ceramides in the skin, thus supporting the hydrolipid barrier. In addition to this, it helps to reduce water loss in the skin, reduces hyperpigmentation, and improves skin elasticityand.

Many products also use extracts of green tea (which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties ) and grape seed, which further supports  the production of collagen.

The best anti-ageing cream is a cream with sunscreenthat you will use all year round. It protects against the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays, which are most intense in spring and summer.

Select the highest possible factor - even SPF 50. Look for the broad spectrum designation on creams, which indicates that the cream protects you across all or almost all of the wavelengths of UVA and UVB radiation.

FAQ

. Is it worth using anti-wrinkle creams? .

Even the best anti-wrinkle cream will not stop time or the formation of wrinkles. However, the right anti-wrinkle cream can effectively smooth wrinkles and slow down the skin's ageing process. Facial cream, serums and eye cream are important parts of daily skincare, without which skin would age even faster.

. What works against wrinkles? .

Before you choose a particular anti-wrinkle cream, you need to know your skin's needs, and only then look for the right formulation.

The most effective active ingredients for wrinkles include:

.

Among the natural oils, look for argan oil, avocado oil, and grape seed and green tea extract.

. Wrinkle cream 30+, 40+, 50+ or maybe 60+? Which one to choose? .

In the composition of anti-wrinkle creams, look for substances such as vitamin C, retinoids, hyaluronic acid or resveratrol. These will keep your skin hydrated, nourished and firm.

Choose an anti-wrinkle cream according to your skin's needs. Don't be guided by myths reproduced in marketing campaigns. Even if you are 30 or 35 years old, your skin may need a cream advertised in theory designed for the 45 or 50+ group.

The skin needs a cream that is formulated for the 45 or 50+ group.

. Does wrinkle cream really work?" .

If you choose a cream with a formulation and composition tailored to your skin's needs and use it systematically - you will see results. Remember - no matter which anti-wrinkle cream you use - to also use screen creams (with broad-spectrum protection of SPF 30 and above) to make sure your efforts are not in vain.

. How to use an anti-wrinkle cream? .

Anti-ageing creams should be applied to clean and dry skin. In the case of face creams, they should be gently massaged into the face - from the bottom up, that is, against gravity. Work similarly with the neck and décolletage area, which should not be overlooked in daily facial care.

. Is vitamin A ointment good for wrinkles? .

Vitamin A ointment can be used successfully for wrinkles. It quickly improves the appearance of the skin: it smooths and fills in lines and wrinkles, lightens discolouration and unifies the skin tone. Despite the passage of years - the skin will be firm, resilient, elastic and will still look young. All because, thanks to its properties, it supports the synthesis of collagen.

.
. What cream to choose instead of botox? .

Botox injection is one of the most effective methods in the fight against wrinkles. Unfortunately, it is an expensive procedure that needs to be repeated regularly to keep the muscles at rest. 'Botox-like' cosmetics are a good alternative. Their main ingredient is peptide complexes.

In our list, peptides include:

  • Lancôme Rénergie Nuit Multi-Lift,
  • .
  • Diego dalla Palma Time Control Absolute Anti Age,
  • .
  • Filorga Time Filler Night,
  • .
  • StriVectin Advanced Retinol Eye Cream,
  • .
  • Sesderma Reti Age,
  • .
